Yoga in Bed-Stuy
November 24, 2009

Photos of Leah Matthew, founder of Leela Yoga right here in the Atlantic Lofts. Now, I can roll out of my bed stright into a yoga studio and that’s a delight!! I had a pleasure of doing a photo shoot with her for her up-coming website.
Whoever thinks we lost all the yoga studios here in Bed-Stuy, look no further, Leela Yoga is right here on Atlantic Ave, between Nostrand and New York Ave.
Roots

Whoever tells me there is no difference between film and digital photography, they must be blind, or they don’t know how to look.
I have previously put (somewhat of) same photos of MOE on this blog but they were shot using my digital camera. Do you see the difference? That’s why I always go back taking photos using my semi-ancient camera, hey I am an artists and I should do what makes my art better. In this case, shooting film = going back to my roots.
Guess who???

These photos were taken modeling after famous photographs. Now, whoever can guess whose portrait photos I took inspiration from can win a free portrait photo session with me!!
You can either tell me who was the photographer or the subject and you can mention same names… Get all 3 right and win a portrait session…
Blacksnow Back & Front stage…
November 16, 2009

I just got lucky. I had my camera with me to see the BlackSnow show the other day and I happen to document their back stage as well as them on stage, I mean, I really got lucky…
Black TheMicahLight + Opie Snow creates this super-duper clothing line, all of them are custom-made, one-of -a-kind pieces made by the designers themselves. I just don’t have good enough vocabulary to describe how freakin’ AWESOME their things are, so you just have to see them for your self. I bet you, you won’t quite find the word either, because it’s that new…
Remembering the taste of Summer

Strangely adorable giraffe at the Greenpoint Rooftop Farm. I hope that crane isn't building some high-rise condos to cast huge shadow on the farm...
Days of hot, burning Sun have long been gone, now that we are in the beginning of November… I was remembering the days I made it to the Greenpoint Rooftop Farm as I think of my up-coming holiday feast; purple kale forest, enchanted chard, sweet curly squashes. I wish I could be there more often, sorting out arugula and picking hairloom tomatoes but for now, I must wait till the next farming season.
For those of you who can’t wait till next Spring, here’s their website to virtually appreciate the goodness of wholesome food.
