Blacksnow Back & Front stage…

November 16, 2009

KaylaSuperCamoNot your average Tin ManWhite MagicInto the lightI just got lucky.  I had my camera with me to see the BlackSnow show the other day and I happen to document their back stage as well as them on stage, I mean, I really got lucky…

Black TheMicahLight + Opie Snow creates this super-duper clothing line, all of them are custom-made, one-of -a-kind pieces made by the designers themselves.  I just don’t have good enough vocabulary to describe how freakin’ AWESOME their things are, so you just have to see them for your self.  I bet you, you won’t quite find the word either, because it’s that new…

Remembering the taste of Summer

Summer HarvestCurlyEnlightened ChardKale ForestGiraffe in Greenpoint

Strangely adorable giraffe at the Greenpoint Rooftop Farm. I hope that crane isn't building some high-rise condos to cast huge shadow on the farm...

Days of hot, burning Sun have long been gone, now that we are in the beginning of November…  I was remembering the days I made it to the Greenpoint Rooftop Farm as I think of my up-coming holiday feast; purple kale forest, enchanted chard, sweet curly squashes.  I wish I could be there more often, sorting out arugula and picking hairloom tomatoes but for now, I must wait till the next farming season.

For those of you who can’t wait till next Spring, here’s their website to virtually appreciate the goodness of wholesome food.

Something New

October 27, 2009

Abigail RamosBrick CitySometimes, we just have to do something new to open up the door.   Obscure subjects and rather abstract images might be something what people remember my photographs by but not this time…

These are from the photo shoot for Abigail Ramos jewelry, custom-hand-made jewelry line.  She searches and collects coins, stones, little statuettes and metal pieces to create uniquely beautiful and earthy collection of jewelry, right her in Brooklyn.

For more of her jewelry line, visit her blogsite at http://www.abigailramos.wordpress.com.  Remember, all of her pieces are one-of-a-kind pieces, don’t hesitate to contact her to acquire her waerable artwork before someone else does!!

Bed-Stuy Alive, for sure

October 18, 2009

BlowJust in caseJohn was hereThe days of ‘do-or-die’ seem to be far away nowadays.  The Restoration Rocks brought many talents and beautiful people from the neighborhood, it was buoyant and amicable.  Sure, it was the first cold day of the season (yes, I have to put on my winter coat in Oct…) but this was one of those things you don’t think about leaving.

What can I say, I love my hood.  Bed-Stuy Alive, for sure.

fallen angels

October 12, 2009

Fallen angel Fallen in a sense that they are here among us, not that they are not deserve to be where they were.  We have to cherish them; they are here to show us how clear and possible we can be…  I think they are much closer to our infinately possible source than most of us, so called ‘grown people’.
